Use the app as an assistive operations tool.
These boundaries explain what FFL Field Ops does not decide, complete, or guarantee. They supplement the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Purpose and intended owner
FFL Field Ops is a business operations and recordkeeping companion for the owner of a licensed firearm business. Each organization is limited to one owner account and one FFL Field Ops user. The owner must have permission to act for the selected organization and location.
The screen labeled Record received firearm is post-receipt acquisition-record entry for an item the licensed organization has already physically received. It records an acquisition classification and may record optional internal historical cost/price values for the organization's own records. Those fields do not publish a listing or offer, quote or negotiate a consumer transaction, match buyers and sellers, accept payment, provide checkout, or execute a transfer or disposition.
It is independently developed. It is not an official FastBound product, is not endorsed or approved by FastBound or ATF, and does not provide legal, regulatory, accounting, firearm-safety, or professional advice.
2. Workflows the app does not provide
FFL Field Ops does not publish firearm or ammunition listings or advertisements, broker consumer transactions, match buyers and sellers, accept firearm or ammunition payments, provide consumer checkout, or execute purchases, transfers, or dispositions. It has no consumer marketplace, Form 4473 workflow, NICS or background-check decision, manufacturing instruction, or weapon-use instruction.
The owner must complete dispositions, Form 4473, NICS, reporting, and other excluded activities through the appropriate authorized systems and procedures.
3. OCR, barcode, and manual verification
Camera, OCR, PDF417, package-barcode, and autofill results are suggestions and can be incomplete or wrong. Compare every relevant character with the marking on the physical firearm or the original document before saving or sending a record. A UPC or package label is not the firearm's serial number. Manual entry remains available.
The app does not automatically commit a suggested serial. The organization remains responsible for reviewing the final manufacturer, importer, model, serial, type, caliber or gauge, source/contact, location, and other required fields.
4. FastBound, local drafts, and synchronization
When the organization owner confirms a supported acquisition, FFL Field Ops may send it to the organization's connected FastBound account. FastBound remains authoritative for records submitted there. A local draft, offline queue entry, app status, cached inventory view, or confirmation message is not proof that FastBound accepted or retained the record.
Offline work can remain local, queued, conflicted, stale, uncertain, or failed. Restoring connectivity does not guarantee completion. Review pending work, conflicts, and the final FastBound record before retrying an ambiguous request or relying on it. FFL Field Ops is not the owner's authoritative bound book or system of record and does not satisfy, extend, or monitor a legal filing, reporting, disposition, or recordkeeping deadline.
5. Third-party and device services
FastBound, Supabase, Stripe, Apple, Google, Expo, Vercel, operating systems, devices, networks, and other connected services have independent availability, security, retention, and terms. APIs, permissions, provider screens, and service behavior can change or become unavailable.
Do not assume that an outage, delayed webhook, notification, export, or synchronization attempt extends a regulatory deadline or preserves a record in another service.
6. Organization and owner responsibility
The licensed business owner remains responsible for licensing, location selection, physical verification, record accuracy and timing, retention, connected-account authorization, security, and federal, state, and local decisions. Obtain qualified professional advice for legal or regulatory questions.

7. Support is not an emergency or reporting channel
Support is not monitored continuously and must not be used for immediate danger, lost or stolen firearm reporting, a security emergency, or a regulatory deadline. Contact emergency services, the appropriate official ATF or law-enforcement channel, your connected provider, or qualified counsel as the situation requires.
Do not send passwords, API keys, firearm serials, customer records, identity images, Form 4473 records, or NICS information through ordinary support email or forms. Use the support page only for non-urgent product assistance.
8. Warranty and liability boundaries
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as is and as available, without a guarantee that suggestions, records, synchronization, connected services, or availability will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or sufficient for compliance.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Terms state that Rennavation Studios LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses caused by inaccurate input, reliance on OCR or barcode suggestions, missed deadlines, data loss, provider outages, unauthorized use, failure to reconcile an authoritative record, or a user's failure to verify the physical item and final record. Nothing here excludes a warranty, remedy, duty, or liability, or any user right, that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. The Terms of Service control if these summaries conflict.
