Clear terms for working shops.
These terms describe access to FFL Field Ops and the responsibilities of each licensed business owner.
1. The service
FFL Field Ops is a business operations and recordkeeping companion for the owner of a licensed firearm business. Each organization is limited to one owner account and one FFL Field Ops user. It supports post-receipt acquisition record entry, inventory, physical audits, gunsmith work orders, and optional connections to services selected by the organization. The screen labeled Record received firearm is used after the business physically receives an item. It records an acquisition classification and may record optional internal historical cost/price values for the organization's own records; those fields do not publish a listing or offer, quote or negotiate a consumer transaction, match a buyer and seller, accept payment, provide checkout, or execute a transfer or disposition. FFL Field Ops does not publish firearm or ammunition listings or advertisements or provide a consumer marketplace, firearm checkout, Form 4473 workflow, NICS or background-check decision, manufacturing instruction, or weapon-use instruction. It is not an official FastBound product, ATF-approved product, or substitute for professional legal or compliance advice.
2. Accounts and authority
You must provide accurate account and organization information, protect your sign-in credentials, and use the service only for organizations and locations you are authorized to access. Each organization is limited to one owner account and one FFL Field Ops user. The owner controls subscribed locations and connected accounts and is responsible for activity performed through the account unless suspected unauthorized access is promptly reported.
3. Subscription and billing
When website billing is enabled through the production billing gates, the organization owner may purchase and manage a business subscription for each licensed or operational location using Stripe-hosted pages. The applicable price, billing interval, taxes, and renewal terms are shown before the owner affirmatively completes Checkout; no charge occurs unless Checkout is completed. Unless otherwise disclosed at purchase or required by law, a subscription renews for the selected interval until canceled, cancellation stops the next renewal, and the current paid period is not prorated. Cancellation does not erase organization data, and an ended subscription may provide read-only access and export rather than new operational records.
Store-distributed native mobile builds are access-only for the existing organization owner account. They contain no subscription pricing, purchase, checkout, subscription upgrade, payment-management, or external-purchase call to action. Payment-card entry is handled by Stripe, not the mobile app or FFL Field Ops database.
4. Records and connected services
The organization owner remains responsible for verifying physical firearm markings, selecting the correct location and contact, reviewing every proposed record, maintaining required records and deadlines, and determining what may lawfully be collected or retained. Camera, OCR, barcode, PDF417, and autofill results are assistive and can be wrong. A package label or UPC is not the firearm serial. FFL Field Ops is not the owner's authoritative bound book or system of record and does not satisfy, extend, or monitor a legal filing, reporting, disposition, or recordkeeping deadline. The owner must maintain independent authoritative records and backups appropriate to the business.
FastBound remains authoritative for records sent to a connected FastBound account. A local draft, queued or ambiguous write, cached screen, notification, or FFL Field Ops success message is not proof that FastBound accepted the final record. The owner must reconcile uncertain requests and inspect the authoritative FastBound record before retrying or relying on it. Records already placed with FastBound or another provider are governed by that provider and the organization's obligations.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to violate law, access another organization without permission, interfere with security or availability, reverse engineer protected services, upload malware, share credentials, or store unnecessary Form 4473, NICS, Social Security, payment-card, or other highly sensitive information. Do not send FastBound keys, firearm serials, customer identity documents, or regulated records through ordinary support email or forms.
6. Availability and changes
Offline tools, connected services, device permissions, networks, third-party providers, delayed webhooks, and maintenance can affect availability. Offline work can remain local, queued, conflicted, stale, uncertain, or failed; restoring connectivity does not guarantee completion. We may change or discontinue features, correct errors, or restrict access to protect the owner, organizations, providers, or the service. We will use reasonable care to preserve organization data and provide notice when a material change requires it, but uninterrupted operation, notification delivery, synchronization, or provider availability is not guaranteed.
7. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as is and as available, without warranties or guarantees that suggestions, records, synchronization, connected services, or availability will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or sufficient for compliance. You remain responsible for physical verification, data accuracy and timing, licensing, security, retention, account access, backup and export choices, and federal, state, and local decisions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rennavation Studios LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar losses arising from inaccurate input; reliance on OCR, barcode, PDF417, or autofill suggestions; missed deadlines; data loss; provider outages; unauthorized use; failure to reconcile an authoritative record; or a user's failure to verify the physical item and final record. FFL Field Ops is independently developed and is not endorsed by FastBound or ATF. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, duty, liability, or user right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
8. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by Indiana law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to non-waivable applicable rights and any available small-claims process, disputes must be brought in a state or federal court of competent jurisdiction located in Indiana, and each party consents to that jurisdiction and venue.
